The Betina Wooden Shipbuilding Museum opened in 2015, and its activities are focused on the preservation and promotion of traditional wooden shipbuilding. Betina is a place of a long shipbuilding tradition, which has its roots in the 18th century. The permanent exhibition shows the tools and technology of shipbuilding and the importance of ships in the daily life of the local population A specialty of local shipbuilding is the Betina gajeta, a wooden ship with a sail, 5-8 meters long and 2-2.5 meters wide. The local port is part of the open-air museum, which consists of moored leut, gajeta, kaić and other wooden boats.
