Zambratija used to be a small fishing village, and today it is one of the most famous tourist resorts in this area, which is confirmed by many new houses and cottages. Its name allegedly derives from the name of Zuanne Bratti, one of the former owners of the feud, who paid more attention to it when the danger of enemy burglaries ceased and when the castle of Sipar became uncomfortable for everyday life.

In Zambratija you can taste many Istrian dishes (fish, ham, cheese, truffles and wine), visit neighboring towns (Umag, Porec, Pula), visit the Kvarner islands (Cres, Krk, Losinj and Rab) and the Brijuni National Park. Sports fans can surf, water ski, dive, ride, sail, play tennis, football, basketball, volleyball and many other activities.
