Lokvicici ist eine Gemeinde in der Gespanschaft Split-Dalmatien in der Nähe der Stadt Imotski. Die Lokvicics sind nach dem alten Lokvicic-Stamm benannt und bestehen aus mehreren Dörfern. Durch seine Lage zwischen dem hohen Biokovo und Zaveli, mit seinen Hügeln und Weiden, war Lokvicici fast immer attraktiv für menschliches Leben, was durch zahlreiche historische Überreste bestätigt wird: stecak-Grabsteine aus dem 12. Jahrhundert und eine alte Römerstraße. In der Nähe von Lokvicici gibt es gleich drei wunderschöne Seen: den Mamica-See (Lokvicicko-See), den Knezovica-See und den Galipovac. Daher kann dieser kleine Ort Sie mit seiner natürlichen Schönheit anziehen.

We walked through the old Roman Road with my friends as we explored the ancient remains such as stecak remains found here. We toured the three lakes and was fascinated by the crystal clear waters that magnificently dazzled when the sun rays illuminated on the water. It was an awesome to be in a village of kind and welcoming people.

We visited this place and we were amazed by the beauty of the hills and untouched vegetation. The remains of ancient tombs and the old Roman road were amazing sites. We walked to the lake where we enjoyed boating and swimming. The tour was with the while.

I would describe it as a place full of natural beauty, a visit here from experience lives one appreciating nature in all its glory. In addition to the beauty of the place, the different historical remains in the area make it an interesting place to visit. From an old Roman road to some tombstones from the 12th Century, it is a nice place to visit and just enjoy.
