Beli Manastir is a town located in Baranja, on the southwestern slopes of Baranja Mountain and is considered its largest cultural center. It was named after Monostor, which referred to the former monastery (monastery) of St. Mihajla, from 1227.
Today it is a city with just over 10,000 inhabitants living in its individual parts and surrounding settlements.
In Beli Manastir, the most important landmarks are numerous archeological sites that indicate a very early continuous settlement of the entire area. Also interesting to see are the train and steam locomotives, and the Fordson Tractor which was then declared a state good.
