In the western part of the island there is Villa Lanterna as the first renovated historic lighthouse from 1881 and a monument of zero category which today is a symbol of tourist and destination management of the island, and Vir is special for the unique archaeological find of two churches in one - late 6th century. and a medieval one from the 12th century - on a site in the settlement of Smratina.
