Velebitsko utočište za mlade medvjede
Utočište za mlade medvjede je napravljeno s ciljem očuvanja medvjeda na području Velebita otvoreno je za posjetitelje tijekom proljeća, ljeta i jeseni. S obzirom da su medvjedi tijekom zime u fazi mirovanja, izbjegava se ih uznemiravati te su posjete iznimne ukoliko su zaista neophodne. Tijekom proljeća i jeseni, posjetitelji se, po dolasku trebaju javiti u Volonterskoj postaji, kako bi ih netko od dugoročnih volontera dočekao, uputio, proveo i informirao. U ljetnjem periodu, lokalne peljarke će vas dočekati, informirati i animirati. Ako volite životinje i rado biste volontirali, Velebitsko utočište otvorenih ruku prima volontere. U posljednjih nekoliko godina Utočište za mlade medvjede Kuterevo ugosti u prosjeku 15 volonterskih grupa, više od 50 individualnih volontera te više od 20 tisuća posjetitelja godišnje.

I had a memorable moment watching how the young bears are taken care of and admiring its serenity

We visited the place with my kids and they loved the amazing little bears and some other big ones rescued from zoos and other places. Some of our questions were answered and took photos at the place.

It was a joyful experience to see the amazing bears. I had not seen before. My first time! Took a lot of pictures.

I enjoyed seeing the bears upclose and how the interacting with one another. It was exciting taking care of young bears.

The bears in thiis location were well fed and quite friendly. I loved spending my time watching them and how they interact with each other.

Best shelter for bears to visit during summer, spring and autumn. It was a nice experience seeing bears moving all around.
