The Funtan Castle is an Istrian protected cultural monument. It was built, on a hill four miles from Porech, two from Vrsar, in the 17th century by Bernardo Borisi, as evidenced by the Latin text on the lintel of the castle: "In you, Lord, I trusted." It is an amazing castle-fortress with renaissance features. This castle is the first building in Funtana around which the place later began to slowly develop. Unfortunately, it is not possible to see the interior of the castle, but it is definitely worth visiting and seeing this magnificent castle, because you will certainly not be disappointed with its exterior.
