The Museum of Slavonia is located in Osijek in the heart of the city, ie the Fortress, and is one of the oldest and largest museums of this type in Croatia. It received its museum status in 1994 and was then open to the public. The museum can boast of its role as the main leader of the cultural life and heritage of the city of Osijek and its inhabitants. In the museum today you can see over three hundred thousand items and exhibits that are categorized into an incredible 116 museum collections of historical, ethnological, technical, natural and artistic content.
