The Church of St. Martin was built in the 12th or 13th century inside the remains of a Roman Villa Rustica. The church is single-nave with a semicircular apse and a bell-gable. The Roman Villa Rustica was built at the beginning of the 1st century. It was a country house and a farm. The Villa contained living rooms, thermal baths, utility rooms, cisterns and more. The western part of the villa was converted into an early Christian three-nave basilica in the 5th century, and a baptistery and a small building with an apse were built next to it. Medieval graves have been found in most of the villa.
