Kascerga
The village owes its present name to its ancient feudal lords, owners and managers of the Pazin County. South of Kascerga rises the hill of Padua, on which is the church of Our Lady of the Snows and St. Antun Padovanski. At the foot of it was a settlement mentioned in 1177 in a document of Pope Alexander III. in which Trvizh is also mentioned. Tradition says that once upon a time, on August 5, Padua was covered in snow, so prompted by this miracle, people built a church on its top. It was for centuries the parish church of the settlement that developed around it, and was called Padua. From him comes Antun of Padua, a master who in 1529 and 1537 painted the church of St. Roka in Draguch, creating one of the most impressive opuses of sacred art in the churches of the Istrian countryside.
