You will find Vrženica beach at the foot of the nearby hill, at the end of one of the paths of the hiking trail that leads from Bashka, across the hillside and the Vrženica canyon, towards the Vela luka bay. The path is well marked so you won’t have any trouble regarding directions, though caution is advised since the path itself leads across rocky terrain. If you’d like to make things easier for yourself, you can reach this beach by boat, your own or with a taxi boat service departing from Bashka. The extra effort you put in getting to this beach will be worth it. It is surrounded by a pine tree forest so there is plenty of natural shade, and is partly surrounded by rocks, so a certain amount of privacy is guaranteed. The sea is shallow here while the mixed pebble-rock terrain extends to cover the sea bed, as well. The beach is suitable for children, too, who will enjoy snorkeling and exploring the flora and fauna hiding between the stones and rocks. Vrženica beach offers no amenities. While this means you’ll have to take everything you might need with you, it also means it does not attract a lot of people, so you won’t have any trouble finding a place for yourself and enjoying your day in peace and quietness.
