The City Museum of Omish was founded in 1986 and is located next to the eastern city gate, at the entrance to the historic city center. The museum collects, preserves and presents the cultural heritage of the town of Omish. Exhibitions, lectures and workshops are regularly organized with the aim of educating about the overall cultural heritage of this area. The holdings contain archaeological and art collections. The museum also keeps a copy of the Poljica Statute, a medieval code that regulated public relations at the levels of criminal, civil and procedural law and established hierarchical relations in the community.
