Lovran’s Medveja Beach is a beautiful white pebble beach, surrounded by a dense pine tree forest; a special place with a special legend attached to it. The name of this beach comes from an ancient Greek myth about the sorceress Medea, the wife of Jason the Argonaut and the granddaughter of the sun god Helios. The story goes that she was drawn to this part of the coast, its clear blue sea and the deep shade of pine trees, and the rest of the Greeks followed suit and built a settlement here. It comes as no surprise that Medveja Beach has kept its appeal to this very day. In addition to the beautiful landscape, this place has an excellent offer of water sports activities, and an aqua park nearby. There are also a beach bar, a cafe and a restaurant here, making Medveja a great location for after-beach parties. A camp site and private accommodation are available in the close vicinity of the beach.
