The stone tower in Marina dominates the view of this small Dalmatian town. It was built in the 15th century due to the danger of Ottoman attack and served as a bishop’s tower. The tower on the cliffs and the Citadel on the mainland form a unique defensive complex. Originally, the castle was on the cliffs in the sea, but at the beginning of the 20th century, a canal between the mainland and the tower was filled up.
