Juraj Dobrila Square in Porech was named after a bishop who distinguished himself as a member of the Croatian National Revival in Istria. There is a monument to him in the park, and the fact that his figure is on a 10 kuna banknote speaks of his importance for the formation of Croatian national consciousness. There is also an interesting old door on the square, the former entrance to the episcopal complex of the Euphrasian Basilica. There are also benches and numerous cafes where you can take a break.
