This fort was built in the 17th century, during the Candian War. Its builders made excellent use of the location, encircling the nearby rocks with a large wall and including it in the structure of the fort. This helped them create an irregularly shaped building with several floors. In compliance with the standard of fort-building the front of the fort has loopholes. The fort had two gates - one on the ground floor, and a door with a stone lintel beam on the first floor. There used to be a wall next to the north entrance to the tower, designed to hide the door from plain sight, and parts of it can still be visible.
