The Parliament originally represented the Gothic church of St. Francis from the 13th century, while its lavish interior was decorated in Baroque style in the 18th century. This Franciscan church has been revalued as a cultural monument due to its modern restoration and adaptation. It did not change its functions significantly, and even today ceremonial sessions of the county assembly, music events and art exhibitions are held here. A mosaic was recently discovered in the courtyard of The Parliament building.
