Perhaps the most original location in the Imotski region, the Green Cathedral is the work of the architect Edo Šegvić and was built in the mid-1990s. This beautiful sacred building consists of an entrance arch, side pillars and a stone altar, and its walls and roof are formed by the greenery and vegetation that surround it. This combination of architecture and nature is located next to the Vrlika River and is unobtrusively integrated into the landscape. It is also a perfect place for an evening walk since it has floor lighting. It is a wonderful spot to take a break during the summer months, when the surrounding trees provide pleasant shade. This cathedral of nature is one of the centers of celebrations on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15.
