Stone town under the Svilaja mountain. Like the Prozor fortress above Vrlika, the Potravnik Fortress was part of a small defensive chain of fortifications in the south of the Croatian kingdom in the 14th century. The fortress can be reached by a shepherd's path from the center of Potravlje. while the place itself provides a stunning view.
The fortress is located near the village of Potravlje, 15 kilometers northwest of Sinj. Travnik was probably built by the Nelipchich princes, and was first mentioned in 1372. The Turks captured it in 1522, but the Venetians expelled it at the end of the 17th century.
