The parish church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was given its present form by renovation in 1753, and the interior was baroqued during the time of the last bishop of Pichan, Piccardi (1766-1784). As befits a cathedral, the church owns a number of valuable inventory, and the gold-woven episcopal cloak, a gift from Empress Maria Theresa, stands out. The tombs of the bishops of Pichan, but also of the deserving citizens of Pichan, decorated with reliefs and coats of arms, were built into the floor of the church and into the plateau in front of the church.
