A beautiful fountain named Helios and Selena is located in a beautiful park opposite the Hotel Imperial near the church of St. Jacob.

It is the work of the famous sculptor Hans Rathautski of Graz, author of Madonna and Theodore Billroth. Namely, the fountain represents the Sun and the Moon, the personification of mythological characters of brother and sister.

Selena is the goddess and personification of the Moon, and Helios is Selena's brother. After completing her journey through the heavens, Selena comes in his place.

The origin of the word “Selena” is not clearly established, the original word is Greek and is probably associated with the word “selas” which means “light”.
