The beautiful Benedictine monastery of the town of Pag is dedicated to St. Margaret the Virgin and Martyr, and was built for the then Benedictine nuns of Pag. In addition to the monastery itself, the Church of the Annunciation was also built, and the main architect of this project was none other than Juraj Dalmatinac.
This monastery was also referred to as a noble monastery since almost all the nuns were members of the high aristocratic class.
Furthermore, in 2008, the Benedictine nuns of Pag received the Zadar County Award for the development of the spiritual culture of the city of Pag.
