This unassumingly beautiful beach is a bit of a local secret. With no clubs, bars or entertainment facilities it usually flows under the tourist radar, but if you prefer out of the way places and the absence of crowds this place is going to be worth visiting. Located in Zaton, on the outskirts of Sibenik, Zvizda beach is a town beach with a cultivated wild beach look. It is surrounded with Mediterranean pine trees that create a lovely natural shade all day. The concrete part of the beach looks particularly pretty with a narrow staircase plateau that serves as a great sitting and sunbathing area. On this side of the beach the sea is about knee-high and easily accessed from the promenade itself or metal stairs. The gravel part of the beach offers an even easier access to all those who need it, since the sea there is shallow. The tree piers located along the length of the beach add a visual dynamic to its appearance and also serve as lovely sunbathing spots. The sea in Zaton is exceptionally clean and clear which makes this beach an excellent choice for both swimming and snorkeling. While there are no special amenities available on the beach it is equipped with portable toilets and free parking, and you can find cafes and restaurants in the near vicinity.
