Dvorac Tvrdalj, koji je bio ljetna rezidencija pjesnika Petra Hektorovića iz 16. stoljeća, fascinantna je kombinacija intimnog prebivališta i zamka, umotan u prekrasnu renesansnu zgradu. Prostor je trebao služiti kao mirno mjesto za sva bića. Dvorac Tvrdalj nekada je bio ljetna rezidencija pjesnika iz 16. stoljeća Petra Hektorovića, koji bi u toplijim mjesecima boravio u svojoj palači i uživao u hladnom povjetarcu s mora. Kao umjetnik inspiraciju je pronalazio oko Starog grada, a njegova poezija o ribarima i lokalnoj zemlji učinila ga je legendarnim.

Iako je umjetnost bila njegova strast, fokus je preusmjerio na rat kada je otok Hvar bio napadnut od Osmanskih Turaka. Odlučio je utvrditi svoju kuću i pretvoriti je u dvorac kako bi ga lokalni stanovnici mogli koristiti kao sklonište.

The arcitectural design of this place was amazing. It has a fish pond. I enjoyed sittin beside it and watching fish

The place has some rich history and with beautiful architectural buildings that are ontop of water and we loved the fish spots and fish pools.

Built in the 15th century by the famous poet, this fortress or castle just stands out. His great work can be seen within its structure. He built it as his residence but later turned it to a castle where people sought shelter during the war. This fortress is quite lovely. It was very nice seeing all the historic collection.

I was awed by the building structure utilized in this location. The renaissance stylistic style was very evident with beautiful spaces. I will visit the location again

Peter Hektorovich fortress is fascinating. It is a combination of the castle and twin residence. It merges with the beautiful Renaissance building. A great fortress I visited.
