Do nacionalnog parka može se doći s kontinenta, iz smjera Mrkvište ili te iz smjerova Brišnice na obali. Kružni obilazak Velikog Zavižana započinje s ceste na ulazu u velebitski botanički vrt, a kružnom stazom u vrtu moguće je sići s vrha i vratiti se do Balinovca i Velike kose gdje ćete doći loža za koju trebate oko 2-3 sata. Pogled s vrha pruža se prema moru i otocima Krku, Prviću, Golom otoku, Svetom Grguru i Rabu, a u daljini na otoke Cres i Lošinj s primjetnom Osorčicom.
Vrhovi Velebita Veliki i Mali Pivčevac te s druge strane Balinovac i Vučjak mogu se vidjeti iz penjališta i nešto dalje na Malom Rajincu (1699 m) i dalje na Rožanskim kukovima. Planinarenje Velebitom možete započeti od Premužićeve staze, od početka na 2 km od botaničkog vrta i do utočišta Rossieva koliba (oko 2 sata)."

We loved the fantastic bike tours in the forest and had an adventurous time in the woods. Relaxing and unforgettable trip at the woods.

apart from the wonderful beaches that are around, I had a local who we toured with and he showed me amazing spots where we got to watch wildlife. this park has a great variety and the vegetation is also rife. its a park you definitely want to pay a visit

I enjoyed hiking and enjoying the magnificent views of the lake and lustrous green vegetation. I will bring my husband next time I visit this location.

I enjoyed my time at Northern Velebit. I would love to go back and explore more of the park because it had a lot to offer. I especially liked being able to relax after a day of hiking in conversation with people in the camp kitchen by the fire, getting ready for the next great (and scenic) day of hiking.

Awesome experience that we had while we were rock climbing on the rocky region of the park and the break of sweat was worth the thrilling activity we had.
