Church of St. Rocco is located on the highest hill in Trpanj, which offers a view of the whole village and the open sea. The church was built in the late 16th century as a votive church. St. Roch or Rocco is a saint of the Roman Catholic Church who lived in 14th century France and contracted the plague twice. He is revered as a protector against plague and infectious diseases in general. In the 19th century, the church underwent alterations. A monumental staircase, built in 1927, leads to the church. The second and smaller steps lead to the church of St. Nicholas on the other hill.
