Die Pfarrkirche St. Markus wurde 1851 an einem abgelegenen Ort, umgeben von Wald, erbaut. Sie enthält die berühmte Valun-Tafel - ein glagolitisches zweisprachiges Denkmal aus dem 11. Jahrhundert. Sie ist ein Kulturdenkmal, weil beim Bau eine glagolitische Tafel gefunden wurde, die darauf hinweist, dass an dieser Stelle früher eine Kirche stand, die heute als Grabkirche für den örtlichen Friedhof dient. Das Dorf, in dem sie sich befindet, ist ein bekanntes Fischerdorf, in dessen Restaurants man gastronomische Fischspezialitäten genießen kann.

The mediaval look of the church especially the Coat of Arms of Croatia are a spot of how iconic it is. It was exciting to witness the change of guard which happens mostly on Sundays and Sartudays

This church is surrounded by dense forests. Its ancient design was captivating and its history was amazing. I had a chance to see the Valun tablet, it made my visit here satisfying

The roofs of the church have tiles with interior design having sculptures. We enjoyed our moments here by making fun and taking snaps.

This breathtaking church is the best tourist attraction we have visited. They have a beautiful interior, as well as stunning statues outside. We feel blessed to have seen it.
