Otočić Sveti Marin

Mali otočić Sveti Marin od obale je udaljen tek nekih dvjestotinjak metara. Na njemu se smjestila istoimena crkvica izgrađena u 17./18. st. na temeljima starijeg objekta, a 1818. godine je obnovljena. U tim temeljima je pronađena mramorna ploča iz 4. stoljeća s natpisom u čast rimske carice Helene, koju je podigao namjesnik Dalmacije-Flavius Julius Rufinus Sarmentius.

Ta se ploča danas čuva u Arheološkom muzeju u Zagrebu.

Neobično je i to da na otoku nikada nisu obnovljeni crkveni običaji. Legenda govori da se među svećenicima krila jedna žena, te da se otok zapravo ne zove Sveti Marin, već Sveta Marina.

I enjoyed swimming and Kitesurfing on its blue warm waters and walking on the sandy beaches. Its sunset and sunrise view was breathtaking

A tour around the church in this location was enlightening. I came across inscriptions on a marble believed to be dedicated to a Roman empress. It was a learning experience that I really enjoyed.

I enjoyed the boat cruise at the dazzling waters of the sea and i had the best time of my life with great music at the boat and the cool breeze with amazing viiews of the landscape. Magical moments.
