Das berühmteste und bedeutendste Denkmal, das Gebäude, von dem aus jede Stadtbesichtigung beginnt und endet - die Arena von Pula - das Gebäude, in dem Gladiatorenkämpfe veranstaltet wurden. Sie wurde im ersten Jahrhundert, während der Herrschaft von Kaiser Vespasian, zur gleichen Zeit wie das größte und berühmteste Gebäude seiner Art - das Kolosseum in Rom - gebaut. Auf der ganzen Welt gibt es nur 6 solcher Amphitheater. Heute werden im Amphitheater von Pula zahlreiche Kultur- und Bildungsveranstaltungen, moderne und gespielte römische Vorführungen und Musikkonzerte organisiert.

The romans really nailed it on this one, very fine architecture and style. Wonderful place for creative photography

Interesting historical story of the place that we visited and felt awesome standing at a place where centuries ago there were fights being hosted there. We loved the amazing architectural building of the ancient Roman Amphitheatre that we visited with my girlfriend and the experience was superb. We took some amazing photos for our instagram posts and also had the chance to attend an event that was musical and for filming too.

Colosseum Pula was a beautiful attraction on our trip abroad! We visited the amphitheater and toured the underground level where they prepared wild animals for gladiators to fight against. It was an incredible experience that I would recommend to any traveler.

the very thought that I sat at the places where centuries ago fights happened made me think of how fickle life is. however it was humbling to feel the passage of time in such a beautiful place
