Bacvice Beach is a legendary beach in Split and you should definitely visit it during your stay in the city. It is the main city beach. In fact, it is a natural phenomenon - a sandy beach in the heart of a big city. The beach itself is also large, so it can accommodate more than ten thousand swimmers! Bachvice is the place where the 'picigin' game originated. Picigin is a game with a ball in the shallow sea, and it has gained so much popularity throughout Dalmatia that it has even been declared a cultural heritage. Visitors have access to showers, toilets and changing cabins. There is a possibility to rent sun loungers and parasols. Catering facilities on the beach offer something for everyone - from cold drinks to traditional Dalmatian specialties. In the evening, Bačvice becomes one big party.

My adventure to the beach of Bachvise was wonderful. I rented the speedy boat to engage in Kayaking activities along the shores of beach.

Soo many swimmers engaged in various games like the Picigin ball, which originated from this location. It was really fun to spend my time here.

Great area to spend a day at the beach as well as at night,we were delighted to watch the sun set with dazzling rays from the beach as we enjoyed drinks served by the friendly staffs here.
