Potravlje je selo smješteno uz samu obalu Perućkog jezera, u podnožju planine Svilaje.Mjesto je bilo naseljeno Ilirima još u starom vijeku. Ostaci starokršćanske bazilike s grobovima na lokalitetu Grudina svjedoče o ranom dolasku Kršćanstva u ove krajeve. U selu se nalaze i ruševine grada Potravnika, koji je poznat u narodu i kao Bićin grad ili Kotromanić kula. Prvi spomen grada datira u 1371. godinu.Ovaj kraj poznat je po tradicijskom lončarstvu, ali se ono do danas očuvalo samo u Potravlju. Do Drugog svjetskog rata u selu je živjelo dvadesetak obitelji koje su se bavile izradom zemljanog posuđa, a danas su ostale samo dvije.

We bought some of the traditional pottery made here as a remembrance of our visit and the hospitable hosts. The remains of an early christian basilica are what tells about the history of this place. We took photos at the ruins of Potravnik town.
Alma
The rich cultural heritage of this place was evident from the many monuments erected at different places. I went to the museum where different types of old artefacts were kept. The castle was well kept and clean. I enjoyed sitting at the square watching people and birds.
Topsy
I enjoyed the visit to this old location, the ruins in the area hold a lot of stories from the past and therefore an interesting place to visit. The locals are friendly and happy to sell the beautiful earthenware they create. I learned a little bit about pottery and even obtain a couple of beautiful items as souvenirs. A fun place to visit
