Grad Korčula
Korčula je prekrasan utvrđeni grad na istočnoj obali istoimenog otoka koji se može pohvaliti bogatom poviješću. Naime, Statut grada i otoka Korčule iz davne 1214. godine najstariji je pravni dokument u Hrvatskoj i među najstarijim slavenskim uopće.Stari grad je okružen veličanstvenim zidinama, a ulice su raspoređene u obliku riblje kosti omogućujući slobodno strujanje zraka, ali i štiteći od jakih vjetrova.Grad Korčula isplaniran je tako da postoje zapadna i istočna strana grada. Na te dvije strane otok dijeli glavna ulica koja prolazi točno središtem otoka. Prvenstveno je izgrađen tako da bi u njemu postojala odlična obrana od raznih napada. Gledajući grad iz ptičje perspektive, ljudi su složni da neodoljivo podsjeća na riblju kost. Plan grada, reći će mnogi, baš zato što je takav kakav je, pruža gotovo pa idealne uvjete za život svim svojim stanovnicima.

My husband and I found the serenity of this city remarkable. We visited the gothic and renaissance style cathedrals. The beautiful interiors let us sit silently praying and meditating. Korcula is such a tranquil city!

Korcula is a hidden gem and finding it left us enraptured by its magic. We stayed in exquisite hotels with romantic sea views. Amenities included pools and massage centers. On our next trip, we plan to bring our friends!

I enjoyed taking a bike tour around the city and enjoying its charming vibe. The weather is equally pleasant and the rides let me enjoy the lush landscape blooming with pine woods, olive groves, and sandy vineyards.

We went kayaking with some friends and enjoyed the remarkably calm and clear waters of the sea. We discovered other paradise beaches where we enjoyed basking. We cant wait to return to this magical city!

The alluring beaches in the city are what make it such a gem. Some are sandy, others peebled, and others have large beautiful rocks perfect for watching sunsets. We had an unforgettable trip!
