Located in the charming village of Vrh, the eponymous tavern is most famous for its truffle menu. As a bearer of the ‘tartufo vero’ (the ‘original truffle’) designation, the staff of the tavern take great pride in the quality of their truffles, hunted in the forests of Vrh, as well as the process of their preparation.
While the menu is versatile and includes meat, cheese and prosciutto platters, fresh vegetables and various soups, the delicacy stars are the white and black truffles and ‘fuži’, a special type of home made Istrian pasta. There are several types of ‘fuži’ on the menu with various stuffing and sauces, including truffles, cheese, mushrooms and asparagus, depending on the season.
In addition to a truly fabulous menu, the tavern is located in a picturesque surroundings, four hundred meters above sea level, with a great view of the green Istrian landscape.
