Der Startpunkt dieser Wanderroute ist in der Altstadt, also in Fortica. Wir verlassen die Forststraße und folgen dem markierten Öko-Weg durch die umliegenden Dörfer Jelovicani und Breza. Der Aufstieg nach Machkov vrh führt Sie zu einem faszinierenden und malerischen Erholungsort, wo Sie sich erfrischen und ausruhen können. Von dort können Sie auch einen schönen Panoramablick auf Ucka und Gosrka Kotar genießen können. Weiter führt der Weg entlang der Grube Sparozna bis zum Rastplatz Stanic und in einem Kreis zurück nach Kastav. Die Länge des Weges beträgt 16,5 km, die Rundwanderung und Tour dauert etwa 5 Stunden.

The highest peak in the location provided us with a magnificent view of the Kastav hinterland and Kvarner bay.

Picking grapes of all variety is a common task we engaged in. Eating the sweet ripe grapes is something I enjoyed. I like this place so much.

there was so much to see and experience along this trail, from the cemetery, church old watch tower...the villages along the trail offer a welcoming presence and rest incase of a detour. it felt good to have a workout and a lively experience at the same time
