Wanderweg "Fratarske skale"
Die Fratarske skale (Mönchstreppe) ist ein Waldweg, der vom Kloster St. Michael zum Meer führt. Der Name rührt daher, dass er wahrscheinlich zuerst von den Benediktinern des Klosters begangen wurde, für die dies der kürzeste Weg zum Meer war. Der Abstieg auf dem Weg dauert durchschnittlich 15 Minuten.

Great hiking trail on the forest that is well labeled and we enjoyed the nature and relaxing fresh air and awesome sites to pass through. It was unforgettable experience.

The trail was cool and it offered spectacular sights of the surrounding environment, good thing i carried my professional camera with me i was able to capture some bird shots too

We loved watching the flow of the river with the tour guide also giving us a story about the trail, there was also a stop where we could sit and have a snack, very creative

My crew and i enjoyed walking the trail, the steep hill was quite adventerous and the view of the waterfall was nice from the top

Hiking through the forested region was therapeutic. I went through the green tall trees and spread-out vegetation.

Hiking trail - Fratarskeskale is a great little hiking trail right next to the main road. We started at 2 pm and saw it took us about 2 hours, but we are not fast hikers and we were also taking plenty of breaks to enjoy the view. The hike is on a stone path and quite steep at some points. You do have benches to sit down if you get tired or want to take in the view. If the weather is good, you should be able to see Zadar and its surroundings from the top.
