Die Kirche des Heiligen Franziskus in Sibenik ist ein gotisches Gebäude aus der zweiten Hälfte des 14. Jahrhunderts, das sich im historischen Stadtzentrum befindet. Von außen ist sie schlicht, mit einer Lünette über dem Haupteingang, in der Reste von Fresken aus dem 14. Jahrhundert zu sehen sind. Jahrhundert zu sehen sind. Im Inneren befindet sich eine Orgel aus dem Jahr 1762, die das Werk des berühmten Orgelbauers Petar Nakich ist. Neben der Kirche befindet sich ein Franziskanerkloster mit einer reichen Kunstsammlung. In der Bibliothek des Klosters werden mehr als 140 Inkunabeln aufbewahrt, darunter das "Shibenik-Gebet" von 1375 - eines der ältesten kroatischen Sprachdenkmäler.

It was a wonderful experience walking through the monastery as we admired the rich art collections. The library was a quiet place to study and see the variety of preserved incunabula including the Shibenik Prayer. I was delighted by the delicious food served in a tidy beautiful hall. I loved how spacious the parking was making sure every visitor has a place to park their car. The atmosphere here is great too

We visited church of St Francis and had the chance to learn about the history of the church we loved the sculpture around the church and it was lovely to see.With the help of a guide we were able to take a tour around and we were amazed by the art collection. We also visitted the library at the monastery and the experience was unforgetable.I would recommend a visit to the place.

I loved the Gothic style of the church. On the outside there is a lunette above the main entrance in which fresco paintings can be seen. The decor inside is wonderful and art is well presented. I especially loved the the sight of the beautiful altar and amazing sculptures in the church. It is a paradise of its own.

This gothic church was built in the 14th century. It is quite old. From the entrance one can get a glimpse of the fresco paintings. I enjoyed visiting the nearby monastery. I had the opportunity to go through various religious moments. It was an epic experience.

Visited the lovely church with Romanesque and Gothic adornments and a bell at the top. It looks beautiful on the exterior and i enjoyed the tour and sight.
