Die Kirche St. Karl Borromäus in Okrug Gornji
Die Kirche St. Karl Borromäus in Okrug Gornji wurde 1735 an der Stelle einer früheren kleinen Kirche oder Kapelle errichtet. Es handelt sich um einen einschiffigen Bau mit einer rechteckigen Apsis und einem Glockengiebel an der Spitze der Fassade. Der Heilige Karl von Borromäus wird seit 1610 als Beschützer gegen die Pest und für seine Hilfe für die Kranken verehrt. Im Inneren befindet sich der hölzerne Hauptaltar mit einem Bild der Muttergottes vom Berg Karmel mit dem Heiligen Johannes, dem Heiligen Lorenz und dem Heiligen Karl Borromäus. Das Gemälde stammt wahrscheinlich aus der Zeit des Baus der neuen Kirche, da die Madonna vom Berg Karmel in dieser Gegend seit dem Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts als Beschützerin des Friedens nach dem Abzug der Osmanen gefeiert wurde.

The entrance in this church was quite ancient. The area was quiet and peaceful.

I loved meditating in this space. it was very peaceful and serene, the breeze was amazing and the grass was greener than any i had ever seen

Nice and clean building that the church has and it's peaceful for meditation and prayer. I loved my trip to the place and it was fantastic.

Its design was ancient. The paintings were old but spectacular.

I loved the art that filled the windows and partly some walls. Painting of biblical figures was an inviting factor about the location.
