Sevid ist ein kleines Touristendorf, das 12 km von der Stadt Trogir und 16 km von der Stadt Primosten entfernt liegt. Das Dorf wurde nach der Kirche des Heiligen Vid benannt, von der heute nur noch archäologische Überreste existieren.Der Ort ist weithin bekannt für seine sandige Bucht, die von mehreren vorgelagerten Inseln geschützt wird. In der Bucht befindet sich die geschützte archäologische Stätte Stari Trogir. Die Küste der nahe gelegenen Halbinsel bietet ebenfalls mehrere Kieselstrände. Die Meeresströmungen bringen frisches Meerwasser mit sich, so dass das Meer hier besonders klar und sauber ist.Die lange Tradition der Fischerei und der Landwirtschaft ist bis heute erhalten geblieben, so dass die Besucher biologisch angebaute Lebensmittel genießen können.Sevid ist eine ideale Wahl für alle, die kleinere Orte ohne Lärm und Hektik in unberührter Natur mögen.

I was in Sevid for my summer holiday and it was perfect for me and my family because of its peace and tranquility. My kids enjoyed walking barefoot on sand pebble beaches as they gasped fresh clean air from the surroundings. In the afternoon, we would join the locals in fishing, an activity I liked most.

The village has a number of archaeological sites which were useful to me as a History major student. I got a chance learn about different incredible artifacts in the gallery and museums. My trip here was very educative.

Walking on the sandy bay barefoot was an exciting experience. The sea currents brought the fresh air currents and a cool breeze that was calming and relaxing. I enjoyed the organically grown foods produced here due to the long traditions of agriculture that have been preserved upto date.
