Uljara Simunic je obiteljsko poljoprivredno gospodarstvo dugogodišnje tradicije iz mjesta Podstrana. Ovo bogato imanje i uljara je nastala iz ljubavi prema maslinama i maslinovom ulju koja se prenosi generacijama. Dugovječna stabla maslina, plodno tlo i neprekidna tradicija maslinarstva na otoku, njihov su izvor svakodnevne inspiracije. Proizvodnja samoga ulja je certificirano organska (bez dodataka ikakvih pesticida ), te se koriste metode hladnog prešanja kako bi se očuvala nutritivna vrijednost i bogatstvo mirisa i okusa. The farm owner took us to their specialized store where he allowed us to taste the olive oils which were in a variety. One can also buy their products through a direct agreement with the family, the olive oil has a nutritional value contributing to a healthy living style.

The price range of their products are fair and I loved the portions and sizes. I bought several bottle for my family and will recommend the oil to my parents.

We had the chance of visiting the Simunic olive oil and the experience was unique. We learnt a little bit about the olive oil production and the history of the farm that was interesting. The day was well spent and i enjoyed myself completely

The nutritional value of the oil is high. I loved that it was prepared organically without the addition of pesticides or artificial flavors. Making my meals with the oil has improved my health increasingly.

The vast estates contain indigenous olive tree species and I loved learning about how the trees are nurtured from a seed to the enormous trees that were present. It was a blissful experience.
